White Water Rafting

Let’s start out with the latest adventure from this past weekend.  Had a great time in the Blue Ridge Mountain area of Northern Georgia/Southern Tennessee.  The weather was warmer than I would’ve liked, but overall it was an amazing time.

Our Cabin

So whichever buddy of mine chose this cabin deserves mad kudos – it was like something out of a movie.  truly a quality place.

The view from the wrap around porch was spectacular.

Day 2: We hiked Blood Mountain.  Not sure why it’s called that, but it sure was more challenging than I though it’d be. Throughout the 2.5 hour climb to the top I definitely realized how out of shape I am.

Day 3: Rafting on the Ocoee River. Time of my life.

Didn’t fall off, but there was a nice swimming area. The water was pretty cold but it felt good considering the 90º air temperature.vlcsnap-2016-09-29-22h08m39s348

O’Shae wasn’t as lucky.

First post!

Welcome! If you’re reading this, you’re in the wrong place.  Get outta here!

…just kidding!

This is my first venture into blogging and/or websites so please be gentle.  As I learn more and become savvy with this expect to see posts capturing interesting travel moments, food and drink that’s gone in my belly, and other interesting things I encounter throughout my adventures.

I wanted to try a new method of capturing life experiences outside of mainstream **shudder** social media outlets.

What follows is this attempt – cheers!
